2025 Theatrical Releases

I kind of have a good excuse for missing so many one-week theatrical releases this year, as I shot a movie in October and have been editing it. But that doesn't make it feel any better. Here's a five-best list:

1. Eephus (Carson Lund)
2. Peter Hujar’s Day (Ira Sachs)
3. Sound of Falling (Mascha Schilinsky)
4. Invention (Courtney Stephens)
5. Nouvelle Vague (Richard Linklater)

Runners-up would be Parthenope (Paolo Sorrentino) and 7 Walks with Mark Brown (Vincent Barré and Pierre Creton). There were a lot of very good theatrical releases that I deemed too old for inclusion.
